If You Need Pet Services, You Need Pack 'N Go!! We Love Them!!

Talk about a dedicated group of business owners. Pictured here is Lauren and her boyfriend waving cars into our Bid Barter and Bake sale. Not only do they provide a great service for those of us who really value our companion pets (see their website for details) but they were kind, compassionate people to be around. They jumped in to help us throughout the day and they were invaluable!. We can't wait to see them again and while I don't leave often I know where my dogs will be if I do!

The Cake To End All Other Cakes...!!

Our new best friend Nota Yannios-Juengst (Dolce Confections Simsbury CT, 860.338.4890) made this custom 4th of July dog theme cake on NO notice! It was absolutely spectacular and went to a very good home, the Downer's of Essex. If you would like a cake or any baked goods Nota also specializes in gluten free baked goods, give her a call you will not be disappointed!!!
Thank you to Suzy and Ed Burke for giving us some beautiful pieces for our silent auction. Stunning Brazilian antique bench (shown) with matching armoire and handmade ceramic bowls (shown). They'll be on auction for the Killingworth event.

Riggio's Gardent Center in Essex, CT

Our friend Cindy at Riggio's Garden Center in Essex, CT created two beautiful planters from our pretty shabby urns. Cindy is always creating something from nothing so if you need special planters or window boxes done, house warming gifts etc. go to Rggio's and ask to speak with Cindy!

Highlights from Last Weekend

The FABULOUS Leake sisters sold hand squeezed lemonade! How could you resist not buying ANYTHING from them much less delicious lemonade on a hot day?

We had so many wonderful baked goods for sale and we sold out of them all!

It's a shelter dog fundraiser so, yes, we'll sell the flowers from our gardens too!

What a Great Success, Thank You Everyone!

Well we ALMOST made it through Sunday without getting rained out but not quite. We met some great new friends and mingled with ones we already know and love. Our silent auction and bake sale goods were to DIE for and I'm proud to say we have very few crumbs left. A big hug to everyone who spent the time making the delicious cookies and desserts – smiles and a few extra pounds all around!

Our small town merchants, who are ALWAYS asked to donate, did so again, and we hope you'll show your appreciation for those businesses who support charities by shopping frequently in their aisles. Small businesses are the bedrock of our communities and we're forever grateful that they agree to help small charities in need.

I'll have a better update tomorrow with names and pictures but I wanted to get the note of thanks out tonight before I fall into bed - thank you to the best volunteers a non-profit could ever wish for, you're absolutely fantastic!
